We will break down the intimidating “behind the scenes” of the publishing world, so you can have a deeper understanding of the true ins and outs of the industry and its players. We will walk through how publishing houses operate and how the acquisition process works– who decides what gets published, and why? You will learn about how manuscripts become books on the shelf and you’ll leave armed with practical knowledge of the business of publishing and being a professional author.
About Christine Pride
Christine Pride is a writer, editor and long-time publishing veteran where she held editorial posts at various Big Five imprints and published many bestselling and critically acclaimed novels and memoirs over her twenty-year career. She is also a bestselling author of three novels: two with Jo Piazza: We Are Not Like Them (which was a Good Morning America Book Club Pick) and You Were Always Mine, as well as her solo debut, All The Men I’ve Loved Again which came out in July and was an instant USA Today bestseller.
