Help Us Grow One of the Most Unique Writing Platforms on the Internet
Elegant Literature is looking for someone to help us grow.
This is not just about posting content or running socials.
We want someone who believes in our mission and is excited about audience growth, awareness, storytelling, internet culture, and building something meaningful over the long term.
This role is intentionally flexible.
You might be:
- a hungry junior marketer looking for a place to prove yourself
- a creator/operator who understands online communities
- a growth-minded social media manager
- a strategist who can both plan and execute
- an experienced consultant looking for a meaningful project
- someone who simply loves fiction, storytelling, and helping writers succeed
If you can deliver results, we’re open.
About Elegant Literature
Elegant Literature is a fiction magazine, award, and education platform built specifically for new writers.
We were the first short fiction magazine to pay professional rates while exclusively accepting submissions from unpublished and emerging authors.
So far we have:
- Published 500+ stories
- Paid over $250,000 to writers around the world
- Built a growing educational platform and community
- Helped hundreds of writers earn their first publication and first income from storytelling
We care deeply about storytelling, creativity, and helping talented people break into an increasingly difficult industry.
What We Need Help With
Our biggest challenge right now is growth.
We have strong products, a strong mission, and strong audience retention—but we’ve stagnated because we haven’t consistently focused on marketing, experimentation, and distribution.
We want someone who can help change that.
Depending on your experience and strengths, responsibilities may include:
- Growing our audience across platforms
- Increasing subscribers and memberships
- Improving funnels and onboarding
- Creating and repurposing content
- Managing or improving social media
- Testing new growth ideas and campaigns
- Partnership outreach
- Short-form video strategy
- Email marketing
- Analytics and reporting
- Community engagement
- Building repeatable systems for awareness and growth
This is not a rigid corporate role.
We care far more about initiative, creativity, and execution than formal credentials.
