Vibe-Chasing: Tactics for Discovery Writers

Live training with Marisca Pichette.

About This Training

The age-old struggle of writers when struck with a great idea is: but where to begin? Whether you outline or chase your characters wildly through the drafting stage, constructing narrative is a messy process involving many factors. How long will the story be? Is it action-packed or quiet? How much tension does the genre require? How much worldbuilding? Is this even a story, anyway? In this workshop, we’ll begin with the sparkly idea and drag it across the finish line, investigating methods for developing narrative along the way (and sometimes after the fact). This workshop is best suited to pantsers and vibe-chasers.
